Our Doula care will complement the fantastic NHS care you and your baby receive, offering improved consistency and one-to-one friendly appointments which instill confidence and comfort during your journey to motherhood.
Some people find NHS antenatal care can be rushed. As our client, you will have regular meetings at our homes, or your home, to chat about your health and the development of your baby, whenever is best for you. We will give you tailored dietary advice and will be at the end of the phone whenever you need us to answer any questions or worries. Our aim is to ensure that you are well informed to make you own decisions and are able to adapt your life to suit a healthy pregnancy.
The birth of your baby is a very special time. Having familiar faces guiding you through birth of your baby can help greatly. We will be with you at a birth centre or in the hospital of your choice. Our care is intended to support you to give birth in the way that will best benefit you and your baby. When your baby is born we will encourage you to have an undisturbed Golden Hour during which you will be able to welcome your baby to the world and breastfeed.
Our postnatal care is designed to help you, your baby, partner and family begin your new life together. We will help you to breastfeed and will explain many aspects of baby care. We will visit you at home and help to make sure that you and your baby are healthy and happy. We will spread out our visits over the next six weeks, as you become more confident as a new parent. You will also be able to telephone us at any time. Many of our postnatal clients have had their babies privately and this little extra support can be a great help.
